This weekend, drivers in Essex should be aware of some road closures that will affect traffic on major roads like the A12 and M25, as well as the Dartford Crossing. These closures are necessary for various maintenance and construction works, so it’s important to plan your journey accordingly.
On Friday, November 8, there will be closures on the A12 for horticulture and electrical works. The northbound carriageway will be closed between Junction 12 and Junction 15 from 9pm to 5am, while the southbound exit slip road at Junction 20B will be closed during the same hours.
At the Dartford Crossing, there will be closures for grillage works from 10pm to 5.30am on the A282 (anti-clockwise) from Junction 1A to Junction 31 of the M25. An entry slip road at Junction 1A will also be closed from 11pm to 6am.
On the M25, there will be several exit slip road closures on the clockwise direction for various works, including scheme works, CCTV camera installation, and surfacing work.
Moving on to Saturday, November 9, there are no scheduled closures on the A12. At the Dartford Crossing, the West tunnel on the northbound side will be closed from 10pm to 5am for maintenance, while the East tunnel will be shut from 10pm to 5.30am for joint replacement works. On the M25, there will be an exit slip road closure at Junction 28 from 11pm to 5am.
Finally, on Sunday, November 10, there are no closures planned for the A12. At the Dartford Crossing, the East tunnel on the northbound side will be closed from 10pm to 5am for maintenance. On the M25, there will be an exit slip road closure at Junction 28 from 11pm to 5am.
