So, like, heads up, guys — there’s gonna be some road closures happening across north and mid-Essex in the next few weeks. One road in Harwich, The Street in Ramsey, will be shut down for a day on May 13 for telecom works by Openreach. In Clacton, Colchester Road in Thorpe-le-Soken will be closed for two days starting May 17 for some new connection works by UK Power Networks. And in Colchester, get ready for some closures on Boarded Barn Road in Copford for five days starting May 29 for carriageway patching by Essex County Council. Chalfont Road in Colchester will also be closed for six days starting May 29 for footway repairs by Essex County Council. And let’s not forget about Fiddlers Hill in Fordham Heath, Grove Road in Tiptree, Old House Road in Great Horkesley, and Rectory Road in Tiptree — all gonna be closed for various repair works. Oh, and Clears Road in Layer Marney will be closed starting May 12 for some more carriageway patching by Essex County Council.

In Culver Street East in Colchester, be prepared for a 12-day closure starting May 15 for new cable connections by UK Power Networks. Ellis Road in Boxted will also be closed for three days starting May 15 for some more carriageway patching by Essex County Council. Elmstead Road in Wivenhoe will be closed for three days starting May 13 for valve repair works by Affinity Water. And Hawthorn Avenue in Colchester will be closed for five days starting May 15 for more carriageway patching by Essex County Council. Nunns Road in Colchester is the big one — gonna be closed for a whopping 40 days starting May 12 for building repair works by GTM. Moving on to Halstead, Nunnery Street in Castle Hedingham will be closed for three days starting May 27 for new connection works by Anglian Water. Dynes Hall Road in Great Maplestead will be closed for five days starting May 12 for drainage works by Essex County Council.

Over in Braintree, Avenue East in Great Notley will be closed for six days starting May 26 for pole installation works by T Mobile Ltd. And Lanham Green Road in Cressing will be closed for a whole 38 days starting May 28 for mains replacement works by Anglian Water. Don’t worry, though, ’cause there are some alternative routes available. In Maldon and Burnham, Cherry Orchard in Southminster will be closed for two days starting May 29 for installation works by UK Power Networks. And Steeple Road in Southminster will be closed for three days starting May 12 for connection works by Essex and Suffolk Water. And last but not least, there are some ongoing works happening on High Street and Silver Road in Burnham over an 18-month period from April 24.
