scotlands-cider-revival-showcased-at-pressed-festival-2025

Scotland’s cider scene is gonna be in the spotlight at Pressed Festival 2025, a shindig all about Scottish cider and bringing back orchards. It’s all going down at Guardswell Farm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, starting at noon and going strong until 10 pm.

This one-day bash will be happening at the beautiful 180-acre Guardswell Farm in Inchture. They’re gonna be showing off all things Scottish cider-making, from fizzy Pet Nats to old-school perries. The event is gonna gather up local producers who aren’t just making unique ciders but also planting native orchards and bringing back forgotten Scottish apple types.

If you slide on over, you can taste a bunch of ciders, meet the folks who make ’em, get the lowdown on cider techniques, and groove to live tunes. Plus, you can chow down on a farm dinner whipped up by chef extraordinaire Harris McNeil of Eastfield. Tickets come in different flavors: just tasting access (£18), cider tasting plus dinner (£55), or a full-day deal with camping included (£60).

Pressed Festival 2025 is gonna be cool for the whole fam, with kiddos under 18 welcome as long as they’ve got an adult tagging along. And if you’re not into the hard stuff, there will be non-alcoholic drinks on hand.

The spot where it’s all going down is Diggers Fine Cider, which has put almost 3,000 apple trees in the ground and makes cider using wild yeasts and local apples that haven’t been sprayed with chemicals. The farm is also all about sustainable living and agritourism, hosting everything from farmers markets to foraging workshops.
