Balti House in St Osyth has been voted as the best restaurant in north and mid Essex by our readers, winning the Restaurant of the Year award 2024. Owner Nuzrul Hussain expressed his pride and gratitude for the recognition, attributing the success to the hard work and dedication of his team.
Mr. Hussain’s culinary journey began in 1978 as a head chef in London’s renowned Indian restaurants, continuing a family legacy that started in the 1960s. Drawing on his experience, he opened Redfort Indian Restaurant in Winchester in 1986 before expanding to St Osyth in 1992.
Head chef Abu Shuel Khan, who has been with Balti House for over a decade, highlighted the team’s passion for delivering authentic Indian cuisine to their customers. To celebrate the award, Balti House is offering a special discount on their Tuesday Banqueting Night, where guests can enjoy a three-course meal for £19.95 per person.
