Pets Available for Adoption at RSPCA Essex: Meet 5 Adorable Animals Looking for Forever Homes
Numerous pets from around Essex are looking for their forever homes – could you help them out? Whether you want to adopt a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig or hamster, someone always wants to find a new owner.
There are several RSPCA branches in the county, along with the affiliated Danaher Animal Home. If you think you would be able to rehome one of them, go to either the Essex South, Southend & District branch, the South West branch, or the Danaher Animal Home websites for details. You can also donate to these charities and help them carry on their rescue work at the same websites.
Louie is a one-year-old Cockapoo who came into the care of Danaher Animal Home after being found as a stray. He is still quite afraid but is showing growth and change every day. Louie will need an adult-only home with no other pets, patient and experienced owners, housetraining, basic training, and a garden to explore.
Bonnie, a four-year-old Grey Cockapoo, came into the care of the RSPCA with her son Sonny. She enjoys human company and loves cuddling on the sofa. Bonnie gets along with other dogs but is frightened of young children, so she needs a home with no children under 12 years old. She is housetrained but is still learning to walk well on the lead.
Lola, a 13-year-old Domestic Shorthair, is looking for a retirement home where she can relax on the sofa and receive love. She has hyperthyroid, which is being managed with medication. Lola prefers to be the only pet in the home and can live with children over the age of seven.
Olaf and Elsa are a five-year-old pair of Domestic Shorthair crossbreeds looking for a forever home together. Described as an “adorable pair,” they are sure to bring happiness and joy to their new owners. They could live with children of secondary school age and prefer to have company around for most of the day.
If you’re considering adopting a pet, take a look at Louie, Bonnie, Lola, Olaf, and Elsa. These animals are all in need of loving homes and could make great companions. Remember, adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment, but the love and joy they bring into your life are priceless. Visit the RSPCA Essex or Danaher Animal Home websites for more information on how to adopt or donate to help these animals find their forever homes.
