M25 and Dartford Crossing Road Closures in Essex This Weekend
Essex residents, brace yourselves for some traffic disruptions this weekend as National Highways England announces a series of motorway closures affecting key routes in the region. The closures will impact major roads like the M25 and the Dartford Crossing, so if you have plans to travel during this time, it’s crucial to stay informed about the diversions in place.
Friday, December 6
On Friday, December 6, the West tunnel on the northbound side of the Dartford Crossing will be closed from 9pm to 5.30am for tunnel maintenance. Additionally, a carriageway closure is scheduled on the M25 clockwise between Junction 28 entry and exit slip roads from 11pm to 5.30am.
Saturday, December 7
Moving on to Saturday, December 7, the East tunnel on the northbound side of the Dartford Crossing will be undergoing contraflow works, leading to its closure from 9.30pm to 5am. Moreover, the southbound carriageway of the QEII bridge will be closed for maintenance from 10pm to 5am. On the M25, an entry slip road closure at Junction 28 anti-clockwise between 10pm and 5am is planned, along with an entry slip road closure at Junction 31 clockwise during the same hours for tunnel maintenance.
Sunday, December 8
As we reach Sunday, December 8, the East tunnel on the northbound side of the Dartford Crossing will be closed from 10pm to 5am for maintenance works. In addition, the A282 northbound will experience a carriageway closure between Junction 31 and 30 for gully works from 10pm to 6am. Fortunately, there are no closures scheduled for the M25 Essex junctions on this day.
