Amelia Events, a family-run wedding and event décor business founded by Kate Howland, is proud to announce the acquisition of its very first exclusive venue. Since its inception in March of last year, Amelia Events has quickly gained recognition for its ability to bring clients’ visual ideas to life with bespoke décor, including table centrepieces, chair sashes, wedding stationary, bouquets, sweets bars, event signage, and much more.
Discovering The Perfect Venue
Kate Howland’s dream of launching her own venue became a reality when she stumbled upon the hidden gem known as The Hall in Tendring. Situated in a picturesque village, The Hall offers a stunning setting for weddings and events, with beautiful grounds that include a Japanese garden, woodlands, lakes, and natural beauty spots. Kate expressed her excitement about the venue, stating, “This place is an absolute hidden gem. I’m more excited than anything—it’s been an absolute whirlwind.”
A Dream Come True
With plans to expand the venue to include vineyards in 2026, Kate envisions The Hall as the perfect backdrop for her own wedding. Having recently gotten engaged herself, she understands the joy and excitement that comes with planning a special event. Kate’s passion for creating unforgettable experiences led her to take a leap of faith and start her own company after a decade of experience in the events industry.
Open Day Event
To showcase the beauty and potential of The Hall, Amelia Events is hosting an open day event on Sunday, September 29th. Visitors are invited to explore the venue, enjoy free cocktails from Bar House, sample food from Stour Valley Catering, and dance to the music provided by DJ David Baker. Kate is thrilled to welcome interested individuals to experience the charm and elegance of The Hall and discuss hosting their own events at this exclusive venue.
