So, get this, right? There’s this dude, Martin Gibson, who got sentenced to 15 months in the slammer for causing a fatal motorcycle crash on the A9 near Auchterarder back in May 2023. The crash happened at around 11:30 p.m. on May 19, 2023, and unfortunately, the motorcyclist, John Hammerton, who was 63 years old, didn’t make it.
Now, I’m not really sure why this matters, but Martin Gibson, who is 58, was banned from driving for more than 22 months on Wednesday at Dundee Sheriff Court. Inspector Gordon Dickson, who’s the head of road policing for Tayside, mentioned something about how Gibson’s reckless driving has some serious consequences. He also reminded everyone to be careful on the roads, especially at junctions and in rural areas.
