Colchester Festival Boss Teases Biggest Headline Act Yet
The ALB Festival in Colchester is gearing up for its fifth anniversary event on September 13 and September 14 in Lower Castle Park. Festival founder Peter Dutch has hinted at securing the most significant headline act in the festival’s history, promising an “extra special event” for attendees.
The Journey of ALB Festival
The ALB Festival, previously known as The Anti Loo Brigade, was established by the community group The ALB to bring residents together and provide support during the Covid pandemic. The festival began in 2021 as a celebration marking the end of the lockdown, drawing over 4,000 attendees for its inaugural event.
Unveiling the Headliners
Pop star Pixie Lott is already set to perform on the first day of the festival, with a massive headliner announcement scheduled for January 18. Peter Dutch expressed excitement about the festival’s growth over the years, offering families a memorable day out and donating free tickets to care home residents.
Supporting Community Projects
Ticket sales from the festival will fund various community projects, including supporting victims of abuse, providing respite for carers, offering therapy for children, and assisting those in need with furniture. Festivalgoers can secure their tickets for £10 before completing the full payment in March, ensuring accessibility to a wide audience.
As the festival continues to expand, Peter Dutch and his team are dedicated to enhancing the experience for attendees while contributing to meaningful community initiatives. Visit albfestival.com for more information on the upcoming event and how you can support their cause.
