Seven-year-old Clara Hubbard-Webb from Braintree recently made a heartwarming gesture by cutting off 12 inches of her long locks to support children suffering from cancer. Her hair was donated to The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to young people who have lost their hair due to cancer. Inspired by a friend who did a similar fundraiser, Clara decided to take this step to help those in need.

In addition to donating her hair, Clara also raised funds for Danaher Animal Home, an animal rescue center in Wethersfield. As a passionate animal lover, Clara wanted to support the rescue’s efforts in caring for unwanted animals and helping them find forever homes. She managed to raise £545 through her haircut fundraiser and plans to spend the funds on purchasing animal toys, blankets, and food from Pets At Home to donate to Danaher.

Clara’s parents, Victoria and Candice Hubbard-Webb, expressed their immense pride in their daughter’s determination and selfless act. Victoria mentioned that Clara came up with the idea entirely on her own, surprising her parents with her initiative. Despite giving Clara time to reconsider cutting off her long hair, she remained steadfast in her decision to help children in need. The family is incredibly proud of Clara for her compassionate gesture towards both children and animals.

Clara’s fundraiser has touched the hearts of many, showcasing the kindness and generosity of a young girl who wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Her actions serve as a reminder that even the smallest individuals can have a significant impact through their altruistic deeds.
