Donations for Walk to School Week Activities in Perth and Aberdeen Schools

To celebrate national Walk to School Week, Barratt Developments Scotland has encouraged students in North Scotland to participate in various mini-challenges and games on their way to school. This initiative aims to promote physical activity among pupils and foster a sense of community engagement.

Generous Donations

Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland have generously donated 200 high-visibility wristbands and bag charms to students at Countesswells School in Aberdeen and Ruthvenfield Primary in Perth. These items were proudly worn by primary one and two students at Countesswells, while pupils from all year groups at Ruthvenfield participated in the event by taking pictures of different colors during their daily commutes and outdoor activities.

Exciting Competitions

As part of the Walk to School Week activities, members of Ruthvenfield Primary’s iBike Crew organized a competition to promote sustainable journeys to school. The students competed to complete the most eco-friendly trips, with the winner receiving a £50 Smyths voucher courtesy of Barratt and David Wilson Homes North Scotland. This competition not only encouraged students to adopt green transportation methods but also rewarded their efforts in a fun and engaging way.

Commitment to Community

Barratt Developments’ involvement in Walk to School Week reflects their dedication to supporting local schools and promoting healthy lifestyles among students. With homes for sale in various locations across Aberdeen and Perth, including Countesswells and Huntingtower, Barratt continues to demonstrate their commitment to enhancing the well-being of the communities in which they operate.

This initiative not only promotes physical activity and environmental awareness but also fosters a sense of camaraderie among students, teachers, and community members. By encouraging students to participate in fun challenges and rewarding their efforts, Barratt Developments Scotland is making a positive impact on the lives of young people in Perth and Aberdeen.
